Yesterday we started the one-month awareness campaign, in our school to educate the students, parents and the staffs about Autism and as a whole to encourage our school community to accept the unique and highly able child.
As we trust there is no better way to celebrate Autism awareness than by becoming aware of the characteristics of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and to find ways how we as an individual can do better to increase our views, understanding and promote kindness.
World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD), 2 April of each year and the ‘Autism acceptance month’ (month of April) celebrates the resilience of those affected by the disorder and supports causes that promote awareness of it.
”Autism is a way of being, not a disease.”
